What's the difference between the AEF and the PTSA?
The AEF and PTSA (formerly the PTA) work together to improve our schools. The New York PTA website offers this description:
"The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children." Our PTSA does this with community events, educational assemblies, grants for educators, and educational supplies. The AEF funds items that will improve our facilities and out-of-the-box ideas and programs that enrich our children's school experience.
